British technology company bringing enterprise procurement capability to the mid market recognised at the House of Commons
United Kingdom, 14th October 2026: BuyingStation, the British woman owned technology company bringing enterprise procurement capability to the mid market, has won the Culture of Innovation Award as part of the Amazon Innovation Accelerator 2026.
The award was presented at the House of Commons during a celebration marking the conclusion of the Amazon Innovation Accelerator 2026, delivered by Amazon and Amazon Web Services (AWS) in partnership with Be the Business.
The award was presented by John Boumphrey, VP and Country Manager, Amazon UK and Ireland; The Lord Leong CBE, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State and Anthony Impey MBE FCGI, CEO of Be the Business.
BuyingStation has evolved from more than a decade of procurement practitioner experience into a Procurement Intelligence Platform for the Office of the CFO, combining software, AI and human expertise to give growing organisations the visibility, governance and commercial control traditionally associated with enterprise procurement.
The Culture of Innovation Award recognises the culture and collective team effort behind that evolution, including how BuyingStation has embedded innovation across its technology, operating model and ways of working.
BuyingStation also received £25,000, which will be reinvested directly into product innovation and development as the company continues to scale.
Throughout the accelerator, BuyingStation worked closely with Amazon to explore the principles and practices behind its approach to innovation: starting with the customer, experimenting, learning quickly and making innovation part of how an organisation operates.
These principles closely align with BuyingStation’s own approach. Built by procurement practitioners, the company operates on the principle “AI First. Human Guided.” and its belief in “Software with Soul”: technology that enhances human judgement rather than replacing it.
Kavita Cooper, Founder and CEO of BuyingStation, said:
“I have always believed that the best technology is built by people who understand the problem from the inside. We have taken years of procurement experience and turned it into software, AI and an operating model that challenges how procurement can be delivered.”
“This award belongs to our entire team. It recognises the culture we have built, where innovation is something everyone owns.”
“The Amazon Innovation Accelerator reinforced the importance of putting the customer first, testing ideas and learning quickly. We will reinvest the £25,000 prize into the business to keep building what our customers need next. I am incredibly proud of how far we have come and excited about what comes next.”
BuyingStation extends its thanks to Amazon, AWS, Be the Business and the wider accelerator team for their support, expertise and guidance throughout the programme.
About BuyingStation
BuyingStation is a British, woman owned technology company bringing enterprise procurement capability to the mid market through its Procurement Intelligence Platform for the Office of the CFO.
Founded in 2015 by Kavita Cooper FCIPS, BuyingStation has evolved from its procurement services heritage into a software and AI led business, combining proprietary technology with deep practitioner expertise.
The platform gives growing organisations the visibility, governance and commercial control traditionally available to large enterprises, without the cost, complexity and resource requirements of traditional enterprise procurement technology.
